Fresh Wasabi Root, or Japanese Horseradish, is hard to find but worth the search. It is similar to Horseradish Root with a nutty-pungent-medium spicy flavor. Grate it and use it as a garnish, in soup, sauce, Aïoli, sushi, vinaigrette and a bloody Mary cocktail.
