Tamarillo is a tropical fruit that comes in red and golden colors and its size is a little larger than an egg with a teardrop shape. The seeds are edible but the skin is way too bitter and needs to be removed. The red tamarillo has a sweet-tart-acidic flavor and the golden tamarillo is sweeter with less acidity.
