National Food Days- July 2015

This marks our one year anniversary since the first National Food Day Calendar. As always, we publish this calendar every month to give you ideas for items to have fun with. The things on this list aren’t always seasonal but have been selected for some reason by someone, somewhere on a National Day Calendar Panel.

Alcohol is well represented again this month as it was in June with CognacRosé WineBourbon, World Gin Day, and the Martini. This month it’s Grand Marnier on the 14th, Tequila on the 24th, and Scotch on the 27th. Also this month are cocktails that have a special day, so if you want to keep the party going, you have Anisette on the 2nd, Piña Colada on the 10th, Mojito on the 11th, and Daiquiri on the 19th.

It is important to note that we celebrate National Culinary Arts Month in July. Ice Cream is a big one in July and is celebrated all month as well as on the third Sunday in July (19th this year) and peach ice cream on the 17th and Vanilla Ice Cream on the 23rd. Also not listed on the calendar but have days that are ice cream related is Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day on the 1st, Strawberry Sundae on the 7th, Hot Fudge Sundae on the 25th, and Coffee Milkshake Day on the 26th.

For the entire month of July enjoy: BisonBlueberries, Horseradish, Hot Dogs, and Ice Cream.

Here are the food items that have an individual day that is dedicated to them (click to see list):
