Blood Lime

A variety of citrus that ranges in size between a regular lime and a Key Lime and has red flesh with a slightly sweet-tart-juicy flavor. The blood lime is a cross between the blood finger lime and a Mandarin. The flavor isn't similar to a Lime and you would use it more like you would a Cara Cara Orange. It can be eaten out-of-hand or used in vinaigrettes, sauces, or in cocktails.
