The butter boletus is most similar to a Porcini Mushroom but not as flavorful. Sauté with garlic and onion and serve as a side dish or add to a soup, stew, risotto, or pasta dish. The best substitutes for the butter boletus is the Matsutake Mushroom and the Porcini Mushroom.
