The Passion Fruit has a purple to red hard shell that is 4-8 centimeters in diameter. The edible pulp has a gelatinous texture with many black seeds and an aromatic-floral-tart-slightly sweet flavor. You can turn the pulp into a purée and use in fruit dishes, sauces, baked goods and dessert dishes.
