Pink Pearl Apple

The pink pearl apple has a tart-slightly sweet flavor thats can be eaten on its own or used in cooked applications. Use in a chutney or preserve or in pies and other baked goods and it can also be used in conjunction with sweeter types of apples like Red Delicious Apple and Gala Apple to balance out the flavor. The best substitutes for the pink pearl apples are the Northern Spy Apple, Granny Smith Apple and the Gravenstein Apple.
